Sveriges största ambulansstation har öppnats i Rissne i Västerort. Stationen är en sammanslagning av stationerna i Bromma och Vällingby. Flytten har kritiserats men AISAB menar att väntetiderna inte ökar.

Beskedet kom tidigare i våras om att stationerna skulle slås ihop och nu har stationen i Rissne öppnats.

Åke Östman, vd för Ambulanssjukvården i Storstockholm AB (AISAB), ser flera fördelar.

– Den nya stationen är mycket större. Alla fordon är där ute, arbetsmiljön för personalen är bättre och vi har närmare till de stora genomfartslederna, säger Åke Östman.

Sammanslagningen har kritiserats – främst för att utryckningsvägarna blir längre.

Men väntetiden på ambulanserna blir inte längre, enligt Åke Östman.

– Vi har tittat noga på det och ambulanser står inte ofta på stationen utan de är ute och jobbat konstant i länet.
